Looking for a great investment opportunity which yields better than average dividends? Consider investing a few hours a week tutoring kids at the Colfax Elementary School. Jesus told us to invest in the lives of “the least of these”. The Principal invites us to join their efforts in educating these kids. They need tutors, playground monitors, assistant librarians, after school program helpers, etc.
Of course anyone who sees our selfless service naturally asks “what makes you tick?” And of course we know that anything we do to help in the name of Jesus, will reap eternal rewards.
HFC Breakfast Club: Here’s another chance to serve others in Jesus’ name! This squad from Hope Fellowship serves approx. 150 homeless folks the 3rd Saturday of every month at the Open Door Fellowship building at 16th & Marion Streets. Join us in donating cash for food. Dr. Jim Small is teaching, 12 “Christian” Beliefs That Can Drive You Crazy by Drs. Henry Cloud and John Townsend. These two authors will help us find relief from false assumptions common among Christians.
Woman of Hope - Our new women's Bible Study is being held on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month. We meet at 7:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall downstairs. We are currently studing "Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World". |
